Salary scale 4-8 (Pro-rata £9,301.81-£10,492.94/annum based on 25hrs per week)

We require an enthusiastic and motovated individual to work effectively as part of our nursery staff team to support the delivery of a high quality service.  The Childcare & Education Support Worker will have delegated responsibility for providing support and care to children and assisting in the delivery of high quality learning opportunities based on relevant guidance and regulatory documents e.g. Pre-Birth to Three quidance document; Curriculum for Excellence; The Child at the Centre and the National Care Standards for early years and children up to 16 years.

To work as part of a team delivering a high quality childcare and education service for children aged 4 months - 5 years in a nursery setting.  Successful applicants will have knowledge of the Pre-Birth to Three guidance documents and/or the early level of the Curriculum for Excellence.  They will also have experiance of early years work and be able to work as part of a team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of high quaility learning programmes.  Applicants must hold a relevant childcare qualification, e.g. HNC in Childcare and Education; NNEB; SVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or equivalent.

The successful applicant will take on the role of Registered Manager in line with the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council requirements.  S/he will lead a small team of workers in the delivery of a high quality out of school care service.  All candidates must possess relevant experiance of working with children and the abilty to provide an exciting play/care setting that matches children's needs ans interests.
