SESSIONAL WORKERS

The rate of pay for these posts is National Minimum Wage hourly rate for the relevant age group plus holiday pay.

Sessional Workers are required to assist in the efficient and effective delivery of the organisation’s childcare services.  Settings include a full day care nursery in Leith, an out of school club in Balerno and a breakfast and out of school club in Juniper Green.  Specific hours are not guaranteed and vary from short sessions to full time dependent on the needs of the organisation.

There may be opportunities to work at other locations across the city which are operated by our parent company, North Edinburgh Childcare, which has 7 Out Of School Club, 2 breakfast clubs, and 1 nursery site.

N.B. Applicants for childcare posts must be eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, along with clearing The Scottish Government’s security criteria.
