SVQ ASSESSOR/TRAINER

Fixed Term Contract – 23 Months

35.83 Hours/Week (Monday to Friday, will include some weekends and evenings)

Salary Scale 23 – 26 (£22,363.60 - £24,435.64 per annum)

We are looking to recruit a SVQ Assessor/Trainer to assist us in the delivery of our Modern Apprenticeship and SVQ Level 2/3 Social Services Children & Young People Award programmes, our Childcare Academy initiative and our successful Short Course training programme.

Applicants must possess a childcare qualification at SVQ Level 3/HNC or above, hold a clean driving licence and have use of their own vehicle.  Assessors Awards (D32 & D33/A1/L&D9DI) are desirable but not essential as successful applicant will be given the opportunity to undertake the necessary qualification if required.

TREEHOUSE  OUT  OF  SCHOOL  CLUB  PRACTITIONERS x 3

Part Time hours per week with the opportunity for full time hours during school holidays and some In-Service Days.

The successful candidates will work as part of a team to deliver a high quality out of school club service for children attending Juniper Green Primary School.  Applicants must hold or be willing to work towards a relevant childcare qualification to allow them to register with the Scottish Social Services Council at practitioner level and have experience of working with children aged 5-12 years in an out of school setting.

Applicants may also have the opportunity to work additional hours within the Breakfast

Club if they wish to do so.

Part Time hours from 7:15am to 9:00am, Monday to Friday, Term Time only

The successful candidates will work as part of a team to deliver a high quality breakfast club service for children attending Juniper Green Primary School.  Applicants should have experience (but it is not essential) of working with children aged 5-12 years, experience of working other breakfast clubs would be advantageous.

40 hours/week (Monday – Friday, hours between 7.30am – 6.30pm)

£18,747.63/annum based on a 40hrs per week

To work as part of a team delivering a high quality early learning and childcare service for children aged 0-5 years within a workplace nursery setting.  Successful applicants will have knowledge of the Pre-Birth to 3 Guidance and/or the early level of the Curriculum for Excellence, experience of working with 0-5 year olds and the ability to work as part of a team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality learning opportunities.   Applicants must hold a relevant childcare qualification, e.g. HNC in Childcare and Education; NNEB; SVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development or equivalent.
